u joint gap

I have removed original u-joints with that plastic injection with alot of arm force a chisle and a big hammer before, it takes awhile and several cuss words, but it can be done.

I have also had difficulty installing a few clips from time to time, similar to what he is describing that the clip won't go all the way on. I would then usually press the cap in alittle further than it technically should, as then the u-joint gets too tight, install the clip, then tap it back out to set the clip against the ear. usually did the trick.

other times, yeah, it was usually a needle bearing that somehow fell over in the cup, hed to be punched back out carefully and redone.

I thought of doing that although I'm a little afraid the end cap will explode on me like the one that I removed. Presses are fun but scary at the same time :laugh:
