U joint help

Gotta 82 k5 350- th350 tranny- 208 tcase
Im changing out the u joints on the rear shaft and everywhere i have looked for them they all say to use the ones with the inside locking clips, But one end has out side locking clips.Whats the deal.

Replace whats there with the same thing. Most driveshaft joints I have seen have external clips.

I just got some that go on the front and they seem to fit fine.
