I just replaced the u-joints on my rear drive shaft. I noticed that once I got the shaft back in, it's tight, meaning no play whatsoever to rotate left or right. I don't recall it being that tight before, is this normal or expected? Upon grabbing the driveshaft shouldn't I be able to move it slightly (as if I was rotating it).

Thanks !

It won't move if the trans is in park (assuming an auto), take it out of park and there will be movement.

Checked it

Ok, I just shifted out of park and there is a little movement now. I put back in park and the movement is still there. Before it was like it was frozen (no movement at at all).
