does anyone know the torque specs for the nut that holds on the yoke at the transfer-case? cant find it been looking for an hour.will post pics of the carnage later today.:doah:

Large center nut, I don't have an impact just a torque wrench so
I hope I can get it off and on.

This'll help to break it free...

got some, going to spry it throughout the day today to try and get it lose.

Breaker bar with a pipe against the ground, driveshaft disconnected, put in drive :D

But seriously with a pipe on a breaker bar it shouldnt be too bad to get off. Its more than likely just cause it hasnt been off in a million years.

ya i have been spraying it with pb lube every 2 hours today when my brother gets home i am going to try the impact, hope this works dont want to go back to the guy that did it last i done paid him once.

i hate when it gets shoveled your way... went and got a impact air gun then my compressor quit.i borrowed one and going to try it again tommorow.

the breaker bar idea failed miserably.

No not reverse threads. Cook it with a propane or map gas torch. Let it cool and cook it again.

So long as you dont use an oxy acetylene torch it would take hours to hurt that output shafts hardening.
