i need the part number for a u joint, i have a 1/2 ton drive shaft and a 3/4 sf its for an 86 truck not a blazer, i checked out the other posts and the part numbers dont come up on the computers, i perfer napa or spicer joints, thanks /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

Because its not for a stock appliction it's a conversion joint.

Maybe it's the area i live in, but sheesh, i wish it was like $20, i had to pay close to $40 for mine, and it died about 8 months after installation. Had a nice what,,,30-90 day warranty?

Went to the local Autojunk store and bought two of them for much cheaper, still using the first one and have a spare too., Those there were like $23 if i remember right.
 
so when i got to napa do i tell them the part numbers and they take 2 joint and put the caps on them or somehting
 
No they come already set up the way you need it. I just bought a 447 on Sat and it was sealed in a bag in the box.

By the way that is a greasable u-joint, not solid.

I don't even know if you can get them solid....Tim, what say you.
 
Nope, that's what seems to suck about most conversion joints, they don't come non-greasable.

Some do, but not very many.

If they took two joints and switched the caps, not only would the caps not fit, but they'd be the wrong width.
