U joints Q

what size U joints would be in a half ton with 4 speed and 12 bolt and strap type U joints on rear yoke ? whats biggest that can go on the shaft/yokes ?
4150 smallest or biggest ? i forgot now
if i go to NAP and say 4150 will they know what im talking about ?

I believe the sm465/12bolt uses a 1310 u-joint. If you want
to go any bigger, you need to change the yokes on the transfercase/driveshaft/12 bolt. Some of the common
sizes are 1310, 1330, 1350, 1410. 1350 is a 1 ton u-joint
and 1410 is a 1 1/2 ton u-joint.

but how can i get any bigger yoke for the 12 bolt ? i may just swap to a 4.10 full floater dana60 if i can go get it soon

You can get a bigger yoke for your 12B at any driveline shop. If you are going to go w/ a 1ton driveshaft you could just use a conversion u-joint till you get your D60 (I would and have went w/ a 14b over a D60). It would be a NAPA#348 if you don't get it at the driveline shop.
