help guys

14 bolt swap. i got the u joint conversion, part number 348 i think, wi=hich is not right anywaya, but the clips wont fit into the driveshaft yoke because the old on had a wax seal

what can i do????

which yoke are you talking about? Slipyoke driveshaft? The yoke at the axle or the slipyoke?

If the axles are going in an 86 you should need #447 Napa joint not the #348.

The clips should fit. They fit in my 85 driveshafts just fine.

It's not wax, it's plastic injected into the yoke. Melt it out with a torch, propane or oxy acetelyne will melt it out. Do it slowly and heat the yoke as evenly as possible and the joint will come out.

You need Napa P/N 447 or Neapco 2-1153 to hook up your new to you 14 bolt.

I tought on that style you had to use the clips that go under the yoke- c clip looking ones -not the ones you squeeze and stick on top of the cap in the yoke. coud be wrong

The stock shaft from my truck (700R4 driveshaft) uses the S44 joints and does use the little c-clips on the inside. The other driveshaft in my truck (SM465 driveshaft) uses the 1350 joints and uses the outside style ones you have to squeeze together to get in.
