uhhm.. so what is the real deal on transmission flush machine at lube places ?

Maybe, I dont know, could be, or not...

I used to work for a lube shop. And I liked the tranny flush, sometimes. Like he said, over 75K without a change, and I wouldnt do it. BUT. I have been told that most of the major dealerships out there, or transmission shops, (such as Tanner Transmission), can actually remove the pan and filter, (there is 30% of the fluid), and then they can "Power Flush" the system from a cooler line, (there is 99% of the fluid). This way, would be about 69% better, if you ask me. But then again, your looking at about $125-$175 for the service, depending on what type of vehicle you have.

But yeah, the tranny flush machine at your local lube shop works. Sometimes.

Maybe...

my vote is fix the TV cable and try it if that dont work just drive it till its gone. DO NOT change the fluid or filter. every single trans that has a slight problem and the filter and fluid gets changed goes out faster. i say this because the clogged filter restrics the pressure when you put a new free flowing filter in the pressure is higher and will take out a old worn o-ring. or it will flush most of the friction material off. there are several large o rings in there that when worn and higher pressure suddenly happens will alow the fluid to bypass or break them. on the other side i had a caprice with the th200 in it it slipped a little i thought about chamging the filter but never did and drove that car for 3 years with a little slip. the thing thast toasted that trans was a reverse j hook manuver i seen on cops :haha: this is not only my expireance but my family and friends too. i have never seen a trans with a small problem fixed with a filter change but rather the trans goes bad shortly after. can you live with a little slip or would you rather have it go completely out and not go at all? i am currently changeing a trans in a 94 grand cherokee for a friend who changed the filter 3 weeks ago. this is after i told him not to change it. i have herd of friction additives but never tried them but these are simply added to the fluid with no filter change. i totaly agree if it hasnt been serviced dont service it now just baby it dont waste time or money on it just to have to spend more later
