Ok so when I have my front hubs locked in (doesnt matter if I am in 4 or 2 wheel drive) there is a grinding noise that comes about when I am on the throttle and sometimes when I am bouncing around.

My front shaft doesnt turn with the hubs locked and the tcase in 2hi does it? If it doesnt, would this be a hub problem possibly? If it does, I can see it being the ujoint on the CV part of the shaft. I haven't so much as pulled the hubs off since I have owned the K5 (1 year) :doah:, but i did replace the ujoint at the axle housing.

For a while I thought it was my front shaft hitting the xmember but it is not that either

It does, when your hubs are locked in the shafts spin which causes the front driveshaft to spin too, even if the t-case is in 2hi

Could be the cv joint, it could be an axle joint. Check for any play in the driveshaft, it will be plenty loose if the cv joint is bad.
