looking for 1350 series ubolts, factory type ones are not long enough to go thru my yoke ,need longer then 2" from where the u bolt sits on ujoint cap till end of thread, the yoke on my 208 slip yoke eliminator is real thick.
ive tried ujoint girdles but theysit outboard by 1/8" to line up with the bolt holes

guess if i cant find longer ubolts i can go with straps

the yoke is setup for 1 or the other. not a choice.

best find out what its supost to have .

if there is threads in the holes its straps.

some places modify stap ones to take ubolts tho.

the yoke is from driveshaft superstore its a 208sye , it turns out its for a cv shaft, standard ubolts will fit and ride on the ujoint correctly but the are just not long enough. only can get 2 threads into nut.

the yoke had thru holes but were not tapped, i drilled and tapped it for girdles, went to mount the shaft and realized the girdle wasnt going to work. the hole spacing is correct but with the girdle the support piece that rides on the outside of the bearing capis stopping me from threading in the bolts

so i am thinking if i cant find a longer set of ubolts then the straps will work

i sent driveshaft superstore a email and they were no help,

machening seems like the best bet , but with the long splined snout its going to be hard to reach the back side of the yoke,

thought about machining the end of the ujoint girdle, the cap stop off, but am worried that it will weaken it and explode under load
