Uk blazer owner Swapping auto for a manual

Hi there chaps I have 78 small block k5. The th350 auto in it has stripped some gears. A guy local has a manual and pedals out of a 2wd wrecking truck. I think it's a sm465? Will it bolt to my engine and transfer box? (think transfer box is a np205?)

It'll bolt to your engine, but not to the Transfer case. The 2WD SM465 has a 35 spline output which is completely incompatible with the 27 spline T-case you have. You need a 4WD version SM465, and preferrably a matching T-case. Probably not easy to come by over there...

It'd probably be easier and cheaper to rebuilt the TH350. I recall they're were always pretty cheap to rebuild parts wise.

You could always go to a divorced tcase but thats not really optimal on a blazer wheelbase.
