One of the modified dirt track guys that was a regular at the auto parts store I use to work at uses a old snap on truck (basicly same thing you listed here) for his tow rig.
I may have found my tow rig.. 1991 isuzu npr ex-cab 5.2L 6 speed. it currently has a 20' flat bed and lift gate that I would cut down to the rear spring hangers.
