Since Kpanza was not able to get that deal on the Ultra 181 wheels, I am looked into buying them retail. I have also found some other designs I like. Before I buy, does anyone have information about these wheels? Are they decent for infrequent trail use and almost daily driving use???? Thanks for any info.

They are junk. They take almost a pound to balance the rims alone, not including the tire. Stay away from ultra and prime wheels. Spend the extra money and buy American Racing wheels. Much stronger and take less weight to balance.

Well.... here we go again with opinions.......

I have had two sets, and no problems. I just bought a set of 16" 164's And with my 33" MTR's only have about 2+ ounces on each.... I like' em so far.

I also run 16" Ultra's, I've pounded the hell out of them the last couple of years, and I have never had a problem. Just my .02.

i just took a set of ultra model 58s(look like the american eagle 589s) and they served my purposes fine...didnt take much at all to balance them and they held up fine in the mud i put them through...

I had a set of 50 series on mine. No problems at all. Very little weight to balance. I put those poor things through hell! Towing trucks a tandom axle trailers and averything inbetween. They even survived two rear ends. A 10 bolt and a 12 bolt. Had to switch to 14 bolt FF so off with the Ultra's and on with the steel. I liked them, especially for the price. I think they are just fine for daily use.

I am just going from experience at work of how many problems we have had with those wheels. Sorry if you guys dont like my opinion, but I know all the guys at work hate balancing ultra and prome wheels. I do know that my AR outlaw IIs lasted my rollover. I only bent one wheel during the six rolls.
