under rig LED lighting

I have a bunch in my build thread. I have a couple different sets on my rig. I will post some pics If I can locate them.

I just got the lights yesterday in the mail,so when there's a nice enough day I'll put them on and take some pics for you guys

Oh yes. LEDs are the way to go. We are upfitting all our dozers with LED lights. Not exactly those cheesy ones on a string. 5x5" floods and 3x6" oval spots. Wow the D11's are like mobile night sun now.

I'm going to rig up 2 of them ovals as fog lights.

NorCal,
Do you know if those are also waterproof?

Yes they are.

I started building my harness to put the Dealextreme waterproof LEDs under the truck. I'm planning on 8 or 10 under th truck, so I decided I need some under the hood lights too. I wired them in quickly this afternoon.

Good work.

Mine are supposed to show up today. Thinking 1-2 under hood, 2 under rear bumper tied into backup circuit, 1 each wheel well, 1 under 2nd set of doors.

The only trick part will be wiring them to all come on via the timed accessory button on my remote.....while still being able to switch them manually from the cab...

I put 3 more down the center line of the interior tonight...damn these things are bright!

Just got mine today! They ARE bright. Definitely too bright for interior use!

The fact they were 20 to a strand was a nice surprise, for some reason i was thinking 10 per...

Stoked to install. Good chance they'll end up on over the long weekend....

Those lights are extremely bright. I can't wait to install mine. I tried them out in the dark and quite amazed about how bright they are.

you guys still talking about them dealextreme lights? If so did you need a relay or anything to wire them in? Or do they use so little would it be okay to simply just use a switch?

I ran mine without a relay. I ended up with nine under the truck for rocklights on a switch, put 3 more under the hood on another switch, and 3 more down the center of the cage for interior lights.

I'll try to grab some pics this evening.

Anyone using the supplied double stick tape? How are they holding up?

Any input on routing wiring under the truck? Obviously, once i make it to the frame, its easy...just curious as to what people are doing to stick the wiring to the underside of the body.

Ordered a set to do under platform lights on my boat too :)

I used the tape on all mine......They've been under there a week, but I'm wheeling today for the first time since having them on.

Sounds great guys. I'm thinking 2 on each rocker, two front and back, and maybe a couple under the hood. Four separate switches.

Here's mine. Had a power outage last night, so good opportunity to get them in complete darkness.

Wheeled it yesterday, tape held for several good hits, and about 20 miles of desert running. Don't know how it will hold up once they start getting wet/muddy.

Interior lights are awesome, I can see better in the truck with them at night than I can in daylight!
