under rig LED lighting

Haven't read the thread, looked at the pics though and pretty cool. I do have a question for those that have installed them... assuming this is done for night wheeling why wouldn't you angle these more out/away from your tires to better see the obstacles your approaching?

I placed mine so I could see around the truck while offroad. My headlights are supposed to light up the trail ahead of me.
I'm sure it is hard to photograph the amount of indirect light these lights really put out. You can see about 5-6 feet around the truck as good as daylight. We had no moon out when on Trifecta this year, and with the lights on, you could walk 20-25 feet around the truck and still see the ground good enough not to trip over stuff.

Ok that makes sense. One of the pics I saw the lights were in the top/center of the wheel well, casting what looked like a shadow around the wheel. My headlights don't shine down as well as yours I guess and I cant see under my rig while driving, only out the side and in front/rear. Still looks great though, gonna have to order some of those.
I should add that I meant lighting up what your tire is actually on, not whats ahead of you but it sounds like yours do just that.

I get what you mean, mine aren't directly over the tires. I'll try and get some pics of how mine light up around the truck.

How are these holding up Chris???

I saw Chris Perry's truck on the trifecta this year and I can tell you that his light placement worked awesome IMHO!!! There was not much shadow effect from the tires which meant he and Zimmer could see where the tires were headed, forwards and in reverse. I plan on copying his set-up.
