I was wondering if anybody here is running the underdrive pulleys I keep seeing in magazines? I'm looking to pep up my K5 a little bit

not worth the alternator, power steering loss in a offroad rig...

most of them just make the p/s and alt. pullies smaller, wich makes them spin slower, and is kinda like a gear reduction that makes the engine work "less hard" to turn everything

yes, thats what ryokin was trying to say. slower speed means less charging and less steering power. its all about what you want out of your truck and what you use it for. if its mostly a street truck and you want and extra 6-8 hp, then yeah go for it. but if you use your truck for wheeling which uses alot of steering power and spends most of the time idling or alittle above idle, it isnt as beneficial
