Underhood temps

Yep, there are a ton of those for jeeps, most of it is aluminum.
I guess I could do that. It wouldn't rust.

hmmm maybe these, carbon fiber good for 50hp lol.

Wouldn't have to paint them. They certainly look like they'll allow a bunch of air movement.
Not sure about double sided tape.

I went all the way with my louvers. I think @AgDieseler is where I saw them first.

Hood Louvers (8).jpg

Unfortunately I didn't really get a before and after comparison. I do enjoy seeing the heat waves coming out of them so they must be doing something. Only thing I don't like is the water getting in the engine bay when it rains or snow melts. I made magnet sheet pieces to cover them when it's parked and I clear the snow off before it starts melting. So far I haven't had anything get damaged but we also live in a relatively arid climate.

What would it cost a guy for some of those big magnetic sheets from a certain someone? If one were to do said hood louvers?

It rains in LV doesn't rain here. :rotfl: park grill up hill and the rain will drain out the cowl. That is if all the leaves and dirt are cleaned out.

I worry the most about snow because it can sit there and just slowly melt off. Our rain usually lasts a lot less than 30 minutes.

I think louvers are a good addition for slow crawling trail rigs. Most normal driving you're getting a good bit of air flow, but slow trail crawling is not going to allow for natural air flow.

Electric fans...

To be fair, I don't do crawling in crazy heat, but electric fans aren't governed by engine speed like the mechanical are.
