Hey guys,
I am confused. I purchased a set of wheels that have old tires on them (15/38.5-15LT).
The specs on the current old tires are:

NTERCO NUMBER WEIGHT TREAD PLY SIDE PLY SKID DEPTH TREAD WIDTH O.D. C.S. REVS/ MILE RIM MAX PSI MAX LOAD

15/38.5-15LT B-132 88 6 4 29/32 12.5 38.4 15.10 484 15x10-12 45 3000

I am looking into replacing these tires tomorrow, but I am not sure what rim size the wheels are.

I took some measurements, but I am even more confused now. The tires say 15" but my tape measure said 16".

Can you please take a look and tell me what size these wheels are so that I can order some new tires? Does anyone have a recommended 36-38" tire that will fit my wheels. Im looking for an all terrain type probably (every day driver and offroad).

Thanks!!!

it's a 15.. hard to beat BFG when it comes to mall terrains..

I just noticed that the tire says "Approved Rim 15 X 10 dd".

Is that the size of my rim then (sorry if this sounds stupid).

yeah, the rim is a 15 x 10.....

not sure what's around these days in a 37, 38 mall.... in the old days you really couldn't find any over a 35... but pretty sure there's a few bigger these days.. someone will chime in.. iirc, Toyo is making something that big these days.... you'll want something that's at least 12.5 wide for those 10" rims...

The number after the dash is the wheel diameter. Years ago, Before all these metric tire sizes, my first car used L78-15. It was a 15 inch tire. Look on the inboard side of the rim somewhere. Usually the rim width and diameter is cast into the aluminum rims. I bet those tires are older than those rims.

ummmmm, a bogger is the polar opposite of a mall terrain....
