88 K5, 10 bolt, 31" tires, no lift. My front tires are wearing significantly more on the outside than the inside. I rebuilt the whole front end about 8 months ago, I suppose the wear could have started then but it took a while to be noticeable.

Is there a certain setting that if incorrect would be most likely to cause this? My first assumption was that I didn't have the toe set correctly, so I rechecked that (and it was off a little), but with that set they still are wearing uneven. Both tires are the same, so I can't imagine that it has anything to do with proper ball joint preload or anything that is set for each wheel individually. Unless I managed to set up both of them exactly the same, and wrong.

Also, what is the recommended toe setting? I did that a few months ago, and looked it up then, but it doesn't hurt to ask- maybe I went with an incorrect setting.

Wearing on the outside could be caused by too much toe in or too much positive camber(which I doubt). Usually around an eighth of an inch toe in is good. Also if you are not rotating the tires it can cause that wear because when you go around corners the outer edge of the tire is "pressed" into the pavement harder causing wear.

Yep I set my toe in at around 1/8 inch. Anymore and it will wear out tires fast. Rotate tires every 4/5000 miles to keep them wearing even. Being stock that's about it.

Then checking the camber is recommended.

Jack the front end up off the ground and put a straight edge (like a 4' level) across the tire vertically. Using an angle finder, check both sides. I had to shim my D60 on both sides to get it right, so it's always possible. Both sides were too much positive camber.
