i know i-10 all too well, it is like the bermuda triangle of texas. if you manage to travel down i-10 in houston without being zapped by some jerkoff yuppie in a beemer or miata the traffic will make you insane. i say because of your miserable luck that we just make a giant detour around i-10. it is probably safer than trying to dodge all of your broken truck parts that are still lying in the freeway.................hope your truck heals.

Well at least it's warm out . LOL

my truck's not dirty, it's earth tone paint

Sounds like your troubles are one thing only: I-10!!! Stay off of that highway!!!

So, I-10 is like the Bermuda Triangle, eh? I now know to steer clear of there if I am ever inthe area! :) Thanks!

Sounds like a good place to find parts. If you take back roads your more likely to come across a trail, right?

Damn...that bites! Sounds like I-10 is cursed!

wow, saturday i was on I-10 in Beaumont and i lost my driveshaft, pulled it, put it in 4hi and got to an empty parking lot, got a new joint put in it, put it back in the truck, drove about 4 miles, same [censored]. it's now at Driveshaft Specialties (the whole truck) to see what's going on. very coincidental.

I had the same experience over the weekend. I replaced the Ujoints on my rear driveshaft but forgot to put the locking snap rings on the rear Ujoint caps. I was just about to enter the freeway and *BAM* there goes the shaft. So don't forget the fawkin snap rings!!! The sound of a driveshaft leaving the truck isn't pretty!!

OK now you got me worried.. Next weekend the 14th Im loading the family to go to beomont (sp) to visit some family...yep im taken the old Blazer... I think Im going to double check the old u/jnts!!!!!

If you're blowing that many U-joints, there's a reason for it. If they're wearing out, that's one thing, but if they're falling out or breaking, something's wrong.

well i was thinking the same thing and remembered i forgot to lock one of the caps on the u-joints, so thats what did it, well anyways the tranny leak is coming from the gasket that connects the tranny to the t-case but it only happens at high way speeds,so now i have to drop my tranny and t-case

BEER-- one is none, two is half, and three is one.
