Universal Joint

I just blew the rear universal joint on the rear driveshaft on my '72 with 12 bolt rear. I went to get a new one and it fit on the driveshaft fine, but was too short for the pinion. The old one was torn to shreds so I could not use it to get a new one.
Anyone know the part # or specs to look for?

Sounds like someone put a different input yoke on your pinion shaft or the rear is out of a different year truck. You will need the saddle dimensions on the pinion yoke (bore diameter, length from end of one bore to the other) in order to figure out which combination universal you need.
