I have a vibration in the rear drivetrain in my 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe. Removing the rear driveshaft eliminated the vibration. I know the bearing in the viscous coupler is suspect for this vibration. I haven’t pulled the V coupler yet to inspect the bearing closely. My question is around the drive shaft and front u joint (only ujoint). I can’t feel any slop or roughness, does not feel dried out but... it’s like a balance knob in an analogue stereo where you could tell by the little click feel when it was centered between right and left. Both axis’ on the ujoint have that same feel right in the center of travel.

Any thoughts on whether the ujoint needs replaced? And that in itself seems to be a problem, preliminary search looks like one needs to buy the entire shaft assembly for a $600 bill.
