Unknown VAC. Switch.

Hello All,
Knucklebuster here, good to meet all of you.
I have a slight issue I was wondering if someone could help with.
I have an 86' K5 Federal vehicle. On the R/S (Passenger side) firewall there is a vac. switch so it seems, with a 2 wire connector that is not on my vac. hose routing diag. The part # is 14040862.
I have been told it is a thermal vac switch for the Trans and from a diff. parts supplier a spark adv switch. Being its not on my routing diag. I suppose I will pass the smog visual, but if it is for my trans, I would rather not burn it up.
Any info would help.

I would say a pic would help, and since you are in Sac, I could possibly take a look at it myself if you want to make that happen.

Driver side is the trans vac switch .

Passenger side , that is one is a "tip-in" switch . The computer will know when you are pushing the gas pedal down based on manifold vacuum . If you still have it on your core support , its in the hose diagram .

Thats the strange thing, I followed every vac line and its all where it should be (by the diag.) I will ck again.

I will have to try again on the pics, they came out all blurry.

Thanks pauly383, I miss interp. a diaphram on the carb for the tip in. Oooops. All good passed smog. Way clean and its stroked.
Funny how altered things seem to burn cleaner than stock.

Could this be an AC cutout switch? This type of switch would shut off the AC ( or relay ) at low engine vacuum, thus freeing up horsepower for the wheels. Just a guess.
