Unwanted noise in radio

Just make sure you use resistor type spark plugs and you should be fine.

Would a wire issue make it produce noise only while the radio is on and not the cd player?
I have no noise while cd is on.

it is picking up the electrical "noise" thru the anteanna. the cd player isnt affected by radio signals.

Ok.......Installed the Taylor wires just now. It did not come with a coil wire so I used the original one. The new wires wrer alot longer than the others so I routed them out away from the engine and periodocly zip tied them off. The whine was reduced to a faint tick tick tick. I unhooked the fender antenna and plugged the filter into the original windsheild antenna and to the radio and now it is all gone. Sure appricate the help on this! Much Better!!

I would imagine that you had a ground loop problem with the newly installed ant. Glad you got it worked out.
