I have had this Tuffy Delux for about 4 years and it had been stored in my garage wrapped in Foam in a trash bag with a zip tie tight around the bag. I noticed some bubbling on the side since I have been using it for mock up in my cage build. I think they dont grit blast their console's and the powder coat is thin as could be.

I just visited their site and it does say powder coated finish. This console has never been used, just stored. My garage gets hot during the summer and cold during the winter but I don't think this should cause this to happen. Looks like I will have to have it re-powder coated to match what ever interior color Im going with, still sucks. I would have left it the color it was. The area has rust underneath and its a bigger spot then in the pic, I scraped it till the powder coat was stuck good.

I'd bitch.... them fockers are expensive... might send ya a new one.. they dont need to know exactly how old it is...

tell ya what since im a nice guy how about you send that one to me and i will send you my factory 86 center consol. after 21 years its still has the paint on it and isnt fading. heck of a deal if you ask me since im taking a hit on the fact your paint is chipping.:D:deal:

That's interesting. I've had mine for just over 2 years now with daily use...opening/closing, kids kicking it, dirty/dusty, stuff spilled on it and not even a scratch. Either I got lucky or you just got a bad one. I'd call them up and ask about it although I can't remember how long the warranty lasts. It couldn't hurt.

Some of you may have seen my thread of the parts I had powder coated recently. Today I had the pad from my Tuffy Delux console re covered in Blue to match the PC. The guy did a great job on matching the color. Cost was $35 bucks, I gave him $40 for doing a good job. I'm stoked, now the console looks BAD ASS. My interior will be blue & Red. My Aluminum dash will be this same Blue color.
