Not bad. What brand of meter and what type of coax?

Just a quick FYI, you don't need 18' of coax to make a cb work or to be able to tune it. That's a myth based on the free length of a cb frequency wave in space. In wire, the length is closer to 12'. The coax in my Jeep is just the random length it took to get from the radio mounted between the visors to the antenna mount on the rear gate and with a 102" whip on a 5" extension I get around a 1.2:1 SWR. That's because some of the antenna is mounted low behind the metal body and it absorbs some of the power. :waytogo:

it's a Radio Shack meter and I don't know the brand on the cable. The length is just right for my Burb as I mounted the antenna at the rear center and routed the cable down the driver's side interior.

I am thinking of mounting it between the rear doors in the center of the burb though........will a 12' cable work better?

What ever length you need is best. There is no magic length for coax. However, the closer to the center of the roof you get the more omni-directional your transmissions will be.

I have my wilson1000 mounted just above my dome light....on a permanent mount, works real good!

I routed it across the headliner, and down the B pillar, under the carpet, and up to underneath the dash.
