Alrighty, well after wrestling with frozen skid plate bolts, I dropped the fuel tank and the inside was so clean, I could see the galvanized inside. The sock was almost like new( no clogs, but not as flexible as a new one.) Just for giggles, I started her up before dropping the tank. She ran rough- nothing like she did after I replaced the lift pump/fuel filter last Saturday, so I guess the IP took a dump. I'll be going big block now. Time to start ripping & stripping all the diesel !@#$ out. I still have the 454 that was in the blazer in my avatar, it only had 16k miles on it when I pulled it 6 yrs. ago, so I'll regasket it, and let 'er rip. thanks for all the advice- if you are in/near South Fla-have I got a deal for you........................ :-)
