Since Steve wont show any pics of the UAV destruction. Here are some updated pics of my build up.
Is that an S&W Cage or did you build it? Looks good!
Mainly an S&W cage with some extra bars. It is still not done yet, have a few more bars to add.
Looking good. What color your going to paint it ? I always was a sucker for camo.
Painting it camo, The front is all new fresh paint, was the factory blue. The bumpers and cage are going to be Chevy Orange.
Camo is always the bomb!
The cage looks very similar to mine. Mine was custom built though. I hate the two rear bars that go through the "bed" area.
lookin good, your front shackle angle sucks though I see the propane tank lurking in the bed also
looks good man i like it- so when are we going riding??? are you working on it near fry rd. and saums in katy? i work near there. talk to ya later Ryan
Not running yet, sould be running in a few months. Working on it at Morton rd and Fry rd area.
Whats wrong with the shackle angle, go look at any k5 with lift springs and ORD hd shackles and the angle is the same. When compresed it move towards the b ack just fine. And yes the propane will be setup on the diesel soon just have to get everything else done.
With your shackle at that angle your droop is restricted. That's what he is trying to tell you.
yea droop goes to kah kah
My front shackle is the same, even have the ORD's. I like it though since I'm still using a stock CV (ground down the stops though) and if I drooped any more than I do now it would bind and break into tiny little pieces. I currently have 6" of front lift and am adding a 1" zero rate and moving it 1.5" foreward. Hopefully moving the diff foreward will help the angle a little.
I had mine at a better angle with 5in of lift and the stock shaft and it never broke.
I'd rather be safe than sorry. I'm pushing 44's and about to add another inch of lift which would bring me to 7"-7.5" total. With my 4" lift I would have made it droop more but not with this combo. At least not until I get a better CV and a longer slip.
Separate names with a comma.
