I have decided to keep my old '84 and update the powertrain at a later date. I have decided to go with a new crate motor and tranny that matches what Chevrolet putting out today. I'm not sure what I'm up against as far as transfercases and if they are still putting out configurations that would mate up to my drivelines. I ain't been under a new one to look.
This truck has never been bent up, never dinged and I just can't see getting rid of her.
So my question is has anyone ever done this and what obsticals did you have to overcome? I know I'll spend close to what a new truck would cost but I'll have a Blazer like no other when I'm done. And I know the truck will last.
