Upgrade auto locking hubs on 1988 GMC?

the auto hubs are junk if you want hardcore get some manual I have a set of warn prememu and love them I have heard that mile marker and super winch make good hubs and one of the guys up here told me about an all steel manual hub but I cant remember hte name
disadvan you have got to get out fo you truck (so what)
advan strong you know when they are in and out they want come out of 4WD when you dont want them to and the list gos on but I dont know the rest
