Id like to see your pictures of your custom interior. I am looking into swappin gout the stock seats for later model seats. I have seen t done before. But I am not sure whats out there that will work. Any info will help.

thanks

I've just done my side panells. Made them out of sheet metal. They look pretty good. I'm thinking about redoing my seats pretty soon.

In pic #2 you can just see the 12V aimable light pokin out of the 12v receptacle that I stuck in the B-pillars. One on each side for the kids use in the back seat.

Aluminum door panel lowers. Wire brushed, no polishin' hear. Seats are aftermarket, Every panel has a sound deadener behind it as well as under the carpet.

Put a GPS sensor on/in the dash, Pic #3. Look like a roll of black tape on the dash in the middle. White face gauge overlays.

Will be swapping out the steering wheel before long. working on the console now. May be a good long while before I put a back seat in it. Usually by myself of with one passenger. I like the added lockable storage space.

I am currently in the process of putting new seats from a 2003 chev. The seats and center console will fit perfectly. I do need to drill 3 new holes for each seat though. Price for the new seats was real good at $250 for all. Good luck! I will try to post some pics of the rig when I'm done. I noticed that they do sit slightly lower than the originals.

Old thread...

Nice lookin' seats! Did you fab the seat boxes or is that a kit? I'd love to build some seat boxes with locking compartments that distribute the seat weight a little better...my floor has been punched thru . Also is that a Tuffy console?

Its a Tuffy console, the seat brackets are from a 90s Dodge van. Bolted right up to the seat but I had to drill all new holes in the floorpan.

Seats from Seatco, Linex'd from tailgate to firewall. Tuffy console in center, contains my ham radio. GPS mounted to the daash. Front of console has toggles for 4 top mounted KC's, 2 side mounted KCs, 1 rear PIAA, 5 rock lights underneath, 2 fogs and 2 front mounted driving.

Under the front seat is a halon fire extinguisher system. Going to put another one in the engine compartment when I have some time.

2 cameras mounted, one in the passenger side mirror, which can be viewed on the LCD screen mounted on the dash. The other is a rear view and shows up in the rear view mirror's LCD.

Speaker pods mount to the bottom of the doors.

Guess that's about it for the interior front. In the bed, the deck bolts to the cage and locks with separate compartments underneath for security. I store too much stuff under there.

so the million dollar question is "are those speaker pods custom, or did you buy them prefab"

also...sweet ride!

Man, ColSanders, I'm really diggin' your seats and Tuffy box. If I could only justify shelling out a couple hundred bucks for a center console!

I think its worth it. I pull off my steering wheel and lock it in the console. Also dont worry about having my stereo or anything in it. I think I paid $235 shipped for it on ebay.

Also now I have a set of Polk Audio 5.25 component speakers in the kick panels thanks to NEK5.

It would be nice, since I'm afraid to leave my top off in the summer because when I leave it parked at work and such, it leaves such an easy opening for someone to just climb in and take my radio and my CB...I need to think of something I can do to prevent this because I plan on running topless all spring/summer.

Custom. Bought them some years ago from a member here. Sorry, don't recall who it was.

Looks like injection or vacuum molded ABS plastic...that or fiberglass with a textured finish.

Either way...AWESOME. They look stock.
