looks pretty simple. need to do on my fathers c30 and dodge 1 ton van. question is should i do anything else while its apart? anything else that would make this go smother would be great.

thanks

well once the old ones are pressed out maybe just clean the hole in the a-arm where the ball joint seats and clean any crap thats built up in the spring cup in the lower control arm jsut makes it nicer to work with

Be very careful, lots of Dodge vehicles use screw in ball joints that take a special socket. If you press out the old ball joint and it turned out to be a screw in type then the A frame will be ruined and need to be replaced. Here is what the special socket looks like.

Here is a link to the Snap-on website for Dodge trucks and vans. http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item...&group_ID=1630&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog

Forgot to add, anti-seize is your best friend when installing these types of ball joints. Cleanliness of the threads before and after is a MUST.
