I am having an issue with finding an axle technician in the Eastern PA/New Jersey area. Looking to get my Dana 60 and 14 Bolt rebuilt once I figure out what gear ratio I need. Oh yea, need to get axles off the truck too.

Found a few small garages that could do it but they didn't seem to be specialists. I would rather ask everyone for known rebuilders that are trusted.

The only place I know of is Mr. Driveshaft in Wall, NJ.. But I have zero knowledge of his rep, quality, etc...

Where are you at? Liquid Iron has a good rep, Globex in Toms River, OK4WD up in Stewartsville (I used to work there, PM with questions), there are a few around.

Without saying who I contacted....

I was quoted about $3,900 for LABOR for the Dana 60 and about $1,850 LABOR for the Corp 14 Bolt. Does this sound normal or "about right"?

This includes full sandblasting of the axle body and full internals replacement BUT doesn't include parts.

That’s crazy high. I sometimes do that kind of stuff and i have a small shop that i do a very limited amount of customers. Depending on how bad of condition I normally would charge 700-1000 tops on labor here in texas.

That's pretty high. I know when i was at the 4wd shop it's about 900 an axle, which included replacing all the bearings and the ring and pinion.

They're saying it's going to be about 4 days for the 60 and 2 days to do the 14 bolt.... I don't see it. I did gears on my back on the floor with the axles in the truck and it took me about 2.5 days doing it after work.
