We are looking for some help getting a replacement transmission for AJ_Tatted. He broke the 700R4 in his truck (rear case has ears broken off and is leaking BAD!) /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Basically, we need a replacement transmission to help get him home. I think that a TH350 would also work in place of a 700R4 (lengthwise and splinewise) but we will need the matching torque converter to make the swap work.... so if anyone knows of a local source (to Moab) for either type please contact me.... (408) 309-1716 cell.

AJ is stranded until we get a new tranny and he needs to make the 1000+ mile drive back home to Dallas soon.....

I'm really looking for the CK5 Community to pull him through this one. If you know of anyone, please help to get the word out that we need help.....I know that Sundays are not very busy on this site.

I am posting from the local internet cafe here in Moab, and I won't be coming back to check messages.....so if you have ANY ideas, PLEASE just call the phone number listed above....

Arent 700R4's great i mean man i went thur 3 of them before i did the swap to a TH350!! youll need the adapter also most tranny place's have them its a 700R4 to Th350 Swap kit install that in the th350 and bolt that bitach up there good to go.
 
aj called me earlier, and it looks as if i will load up the truck and trailer and go drag him home /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Sounds like ya got it under control.. But if ya swap out the 700 for a th350, you will need a different adapter also!!! FWIW.. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Good luck..
 
Yeah, I offered to loan him my new Th400/203 with adapter, shifter, cross member and all setting right there. But there are a thousand little (and some big) issues to swapping something like that and it was just too much...

k guys, we just walked in the door. fourwheelerjeff came through for us. now i need a tranny so i can get the beast back on the trails. huge thanks to everyone in ck5. you guys are the best friends a person could wish for. i proudly display a ck5 sticker on my rig!!! your the best......special thnx to greg72, rusty, ductape and crew (couch potato's), baddog, fwp, not a jeep, and ryan in dallas even though he drives a dodge, /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif and of course mad appreciation for fourwheelerjeff!!!!!!

Glad you finally got out of there ok. We were getting a bit concerned since we hadn't heard anything.
 
ugly...the trans and tcase are in great shape...but they are not for sale. Just trying to help out a fellow ck5'r...the chalet is down for a bit as the 400 spun a rod or two....so the trans and tcase coulda been yanked quickly to help out a fellow as i'm only 90 miles from moab... /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
