UROC Rockcross- What do you think?

I was at that event and thought it was killer. My buddy Ben Hanks and a couple other buddys competed.

Hope this is OK to post here in the garage.

What do you guys think of the new format? I think it will be a good change. I like the trails and really never cared for crawling competitions. I like the idea of guys mixing it up on the track. Here is the artical from the first event: http://www.pirate4x4.com/trailreports/uroc_rockcross_slc07/index.php

1. rockcrawling is inherently ghey because everyone is afraid of the skinny pedal. That's my disclaimer.............................

2. Ranch Pratt is a prick.

In reality, I think it's good for the sport. The problem that has plagued offroad for years was that it wasn't spectator friendly because most of the stuff was one vehicle going by every couple of minutes out in the middle of nowhere. The only real alternatives was SODA, then CORR, MTEG, VORRA. Then rockcrawling came along and bingo, there's a winner because it's spectator friendly. When something is spectator friendly, it is also sponsor friendly.

With the birth of XRRA, something special came along. Now not only is there some slow technical stuff, there's a need for speed. I imagine UROC saw the writing on the wall which was success and decided to change it's program up.

No matter what I think of Ranch Pratt, this will be a success because folks like it.
