heres my other thoughs
i agree out of round is an issue that can be and is a problem.
-BUT- all the clowns with rock buggies and trailer queens sure are funny.
they have a homebrew rig on fuel cells, longtravel springs and full hydrosteer and crawls at 1/1000mph. then they post "the rims werent round" well unless the thing is square why would it matter? i realize if you are daily driving (im putting 2000 miles a month on mine) its important......but theres nothing street legal on them. no real engineering experiance or crash tests. before you say "blah blah blah has a engineering degree and his frames roll over and work". there is a big, big difference of rolling a 3500lb rock buggy at 5 mph (25,000ftlbs) and crashing a 3500lb vehicle doing 40 (205,000ftlbs) into a barrier, much less an oncoming vehicle.
1)do i think daniel had serious delivery date problems? yes
2)does he still? ill let you know
3)is there a direct competitor? no. staz beadlocks are double plates. the single plates (daniels 2nd gen) had some lug nut loosening issues, and thats first hand. they dont loosen anymore on me.
i like the guys that buy all these custom parts or one off's and when they suck they dont say anything, but are quick to bandwaggon anyone elses problems.
once agiain, if i get burnt ill eat my crow and if not, ill be back
