Has anyone figured out how to use a transfer case with a driver's side drop in a K5? I realize I'd have to switch axles, just curious if anyone has done this. currently looking at a 6L80E trans with transfer case attached. It's a push button shift, which I would like, but I'm curious if anyone has accomplished this.

Thanks
Brian

I used a 205 from a ford and a hp 60 front end. I would think with some work and parts finding you can use the same Tcase or run the stock one for the trans, the front end either a hp44 or hp60 would work

thanks for the reply. I just bought a 4L60E trans and transfer case from a 2007 silverado with 5100 miles on it. The transfer case code is NQH, I'm not really sure what NP version it is. It is electric shift, pic attached.

Going to try and find a front axle swap that will work with this. I didn't find much in the search on this board, if anyone has thread links please post them!

Thanks
Brian

Yes, I have a 2009 5.3 that I am planning to install as a part of this whole conversion!

Why not just bolt a pass side drop 241 to the 4L60? Seems like less work, and then you get a shift lever as well.

Thanks for the replies, I'll check pirate. I would like to keep push button shifting. I am planning to rework the dash anyways and put an LCD in there to display some of the OBD info that's not on the factory gauges.
