used D44 shafts what should I pay

I went to the wrecking yard the other day and found a set of d44 shafts inners and outers w/ u-joints. I decided I would buy them but when I asked the guy how much he said $125.00 for each side. I thought that was outragous so I didnt even try to bargain with him. what are used shafts worth? is this a normal price?

Sounds pretty high to me. I would expect to pay no more than 100 for both sides.

I've sold lockout-to-lockout complete D44 3/4 ton fronts for $75.00

I would say give $50 max for a pair of shafts (pair = 2 inners and 2 outers).

Post a wanted ad in the forums here, someone should have something cheaper.

Mwuhahaha.

I wouldn't pay more than $100, $150 for a whole D44. At the Pick-N-Pull I think I got my spare set (granted, for a 10b, but whatever) for $75 for the pair.

And I *gave* away my D44 set. ::shrug::

I'm doing a 3/4 ton conversion currently, and i paid $300 for the D44 and 14bolt, with 35" tires and wheels on it.
That price is rediculous. $50 total tops.
