I was looking for some advice on the price I should ask for for on a used set of 3:73 gears for a 10 bolt front and a 12 bolt rear. I wasn't going to sell them until my neighbor said that he knew someone who wanted them. He asked for a price and I didn't know what to charge. The 12 bolt gears have less than 5000 miles on them but I don't know what the front does. They are in perfect shape visually. Any ideas?

given the ratio and what they go in I think $50 is fair. I have sold 2 sets of dana 44 gears on Ebay. they went for way more then I thought. $78 and $105.:eek1: they were original dana gears, I think that helped.

i sold my 4.10s out of my d44 still on carrier for $35. i didnt know what to ask, guess i coulda gotten more out of them...damn

Hey what's 10 bucks if it helps someone out Especially another wheeler. I remember I was in Freetown, Liberia about 10 years ago and there was some people selling their carvings outside the airport (if you could call it an airport) They were selling hand carved canes and other cool stuff. I'm not saying this in a mean way, but these people were really poor. I paid $20 bucks for a cane and got a ration of crap from my buddies because they said I could have gotten it for less if I haggled the price down. I thought to myself that guy could use the $5 bucks more than me. Hell, He probably fed his family for a week on it. I don't think I will ever forget that.

(Sorry to go off on a tangent.)

when my rear end blew up i called around for used gears and one junk yard wanted $250 for 4.10 in a rear 10 bolt. i asked if they were new and he laughed at me and said no then i asked how many miles they had on him he said only 120,000. Then i told him i bought a new ring and gear for 150 at 4wheelparts and he said i was lien and that he would sell them to me for 160. Just cause im young dont mean im retarded.
