Used gears

Over this last weekend I finally got my 3/4ton axles swapped in under my burb /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif they've been sitting in my dads barn for the last year while I did the rear disk conversion, flat top machining, cleaning and painting and replacement of the wheel bearings. But who knows who long the axles were sitting in the field before I got them. What I want to know is what is a good break-in period for used gears or do I even need to worry about it?
