Used Speaker Cost

Does anyone have an idea on how much a pair of Boston Accoustics 51/4" with 1"inch tweeter seperates are worth used? More specifically, they were used for about 6 months and then put back in the box and sitting on a shelf in my closet for the last 3 1/2 years. I was planning on using them but a friend is interested in buying them. I just don't know what they are worth. Any ideas?

$10??? Do you realize that Boston Acoustics component sets can cost 30 to 60 times more than that!

I got them for about $325 originally. I hooked them up on Sunday just to make sure everything was together and working. Man the sound sweet!

Are they seperates... if so then i could see 100 bucks for them.. but if they are co-axles then only 50..... but that is what i would pay... everyone is different...

Yes Prem, they are seperates. One of my co-workers is interested in buying them and I really don't know what a fair price would be for them. Thanks for the input!

no problem...there are things to consider.. how long did you use them.. what condistion are they in.. that type of thing.. if they are in good condition cosmetically then 100 for them...(asumming you didnt push the daylights out of them for a long time) otherwise.. i would say 50-75 for them...

I definately did not push them hard. I like clean, loud music. I'm not a traffic-light thumper. They were only used for about 6 months before I removed the entire system to sell the vehicle. I placed everything back in the boxes and if the boxes still had the seal on them, you would swear they were brand new. We pulled them out and hooked the up the other day and they sound sweet. I am comfortable with the $75 to $100 range. Thanks for your help!
