$400.00 on craigslist...not installed on vehicle. What should I look out for on a used winch. Should I bring a battery and jumper cables and clamp it down or something to test? These are like $600.00 new. Thanks

i think you should bring a batt to test it all i can add is smell it it it is smoked from overloading it you may tell that way;}
