Using e-brake cables from cucv 14 bolt axle on a blazer? How do I make this work?

Okay this is what I have:

-complete 14 bolt out of a m1008 thats got about 10 ft of e brake cables on it still

-my e brake cables on my m1009 are still completely intact, I just zip tied them out of the way when I swapped in my first 14 bolt.

I'm lookin to swap in the cucv axle this weekend. Is there a particular cable I need to get to convert these? Is it something I could cut and re-crimp? I'm just lost.....so lost....please help

IIRC all I did was hook up the stock cables on my 90.

Same here. they were a little long but not so much that they didnt fit. What year is the truck and does it have the cable going to each side of the frame , or unequal length cables both going to the passenger side?Mine was the latter. Someone will hopefully chime in on what year the e brake cables went from stupid (early) to normal(late.
