I was told that van axles will make the rear tires come out farther so as to match the front ones. If that's true, what years/models van should I be looking for to provide a donor axle? Thanks!

PS, it's going in an 88 Blazer if that's relevant.

True.

The rear axle from a G30 van has an almost identical WMS to a D60.

Someone else will need to help with the year range....

This is from Pirate's "14BFF Bible"

My 14BFF came out of a late 80's 1 ton van. -Eric

axle swap for you will be 8 lug only unless you want 5 lug rear. as vans werent 6 lug like 4x4 gm trucks.

Thanks for the info guys. Eight lug is fine, it'll give me more incentive to swap both axles for full tons ;)
