V-Belt lengths?

is there a list of standard size vbelts that parts stores stock.. That I can go by or do I just have to fab my stuff and hope they have what i need?

the part number is the size
like o rings you can get anything
but with v belts you are building it to adjust so usually a range of sizes fit
perhaps someone can remember how to read the numbers IIRC it is simple beyond belief

well it's 2 custom applications so do I need to measure all this out and get an idea before I build it or am I pretty much assured there's one to fit?

most parts stores have them hanging on the wall near the ceiling
walk into one and ask the counter dead weight how to read the numbers and go see the range available
I am confident you can get anything
I did a smog pump removal with no fore thought and the serpentine belt was available, so I think if you do some legwork you are assured of success
