In the market for a new tow rig. Found a dodge with a V10 and 136k on the odo. I know its not diesel power but, does anyone know anything about these V10s? Can they keep up with a diesel?

I have a 20' car trailer and 6700# Blazer to pull in the rockies, And stop.

V10s are known for blowing head gaskets on a fairly regular basis usually around 80K. That is the one thing I'd look out for other than crappy fuel economy.

Kinda figured I would get alot of negativity consindering noone ever brags about a v10

With how much the price is dropping on diesels these days, you might as well hold out for one. Dodge trucks with the Cummins are your best bet as far as best price is concerned.
