V8 cummins

The numbers look good for our light duty trucks. Now to wait for the first insurance wrecks to start getting auctioned off...

Can't complain about 500 ft lbs. should be interesting, what bellhousing would thst have?

Its exciting to see. Even more exciting beacuse this should mean small diesel wars from the big 3 giving us plenty of options.

It's already on. The diesel Titan talk has been out for months now and Dodge is already on board. There's 1/2 ton diesel rams in the hands of magazines already.

what manual do they have for behind that?

I can't wait to see this happen. I'm assuming this is going to be a 2015 model. What do you guys think the crate engine would cost? 8,000+?

I'd guess more than that.

The new 3.0 diesel in the '14 Ram looks interesting to me for a daily driver. My 05 4x4 quad cab has 176K now so I'll be looking for a replacement in another 50K miles. Maybe I'll be able to afford one by then.

I would say there is a zero percent chance they will offer a stock option in a half ton diesel.

Agreed, I think they're smart enough to know the market for the 1/2 ton diesels is guys that want a fullsize truck that gets 25+ mpg for running the kids to sports and school while being able to pull the family travel trailer once in a blue moon without puking it's guts like a small cubic inch gas engine.

Looks like diesel options are picking up in the US. The new grand Cherokee is getting one (it has 420 ft lbs and gets 20+ mpg) and the new Colorados and canyons are going to get baby duramax engines...

So they say.... Remember, 1st Gen Tundra's were supposed to have gotten Diesel's;
And they did, but they never hit the american market, so..... :whistle:

True. Its just what I read in the latest off road mag. The diesel jeep is real tho. I believe one of the mags has test driven it already.

I reaaaaaally hope we start to get more "small" diesel options.
I would love to own a diesel Tundra.
