Well, I start to dress out the new motor and what do I find? The new Vortec TBI manifold only has one vacuum port in the rear. There is not port up front for the brake booster.

So I need some suggests on how to get a port for the booster!

Hydroboost! The only way to go in that situation, although I am sure there is a way to get the vacuum there.

Yeah, that's not really an option at this point. I'm not going to change out the entire brake system at this point.

Does anyone out there have a 96 5.7 vortec TBI? Could you check and see where the brake booster is drawing its vacuum from? THANKS!!

Brake booster doesn't care where the vacuum source comes from as long as it is manifold vacuum. If the rear fitting is in a runner then use it.

That's the answer I ended up with. I just need a fitting that has two ports on it. One for the booster and one for the cruise control.
