valve cover breather smoking

Right upon start I have smoke out of the valve cover breather on my tbi 350. Havent seen what it does once it warms up because I need to get fuel, but ill check that later today. Any ideas? Too much oil maybe? THanks

not sure on mileage. got the engine used. damn i havent even been able to drive this thing yet.

Some blowby is normal, hence most engines run a PVC system to evacuate the crankcase. If you suspect blow-by is excessive, run a compression test.

Also, the breather should be on the opposite bank as the pcv.
