The breather is leaking oil, I thought it was the valve covers at first , changed gaskets, then changed to EDL aluminum covers and rubber gaskets. I moved the pcv valve to the back and the breather to the front and it is still leaking oil. there is also an excess amount of oil going to the pcv filter and into the air filter and cleaner. My only thought is the air cleaner sucking the oil out of the valve cover? or is there to much pcv presure. any help would be great, this oil leaking onto my headers is not good. BTW it is 85 jimmy with 350 edl carb stock with headers old style heads.

Thanks

Your pcv valve working?

Only test I'm aware of is shaking it to make sure it rattles.

What's the condition of the motor? Have you checked the compression?

If there's lots of air getting by worn out piston rings the pcv has no chance of keeping up.

PO said it has about 35 k on it, I have not done compression check. No smoke white or blue, no knocking at all, motor has good power and runs smooth, it does not seem tired. This is only affecting the breather, the pcv valve does not have any oil leak or blow by. How are you guys running your breathers. It only does it when driving in mid to high rpms, it will not leak by reving the engine at all. Even when i shut the engine down and let it sit for a min, if i pull the breather alot of engine vapor comes out.

Thanks for the help
